I am so excited to have finally handed off this pen and watercolour of @shysplace to @mikespeer51 . I really love how this one turned out.

Shy’s has been a staple in Waterdown for some time now, and when I visited for lunch in May I couldn’t resist snapping a pic of the beautiful old house.

Feeling grateful for good food and friendship.

I’m also taking orders, so if you want your favourite place immortalized on lumpy paper, message me!

I always have a great time doing family photos for the Patterson/Lawrie clan. This year, there were two additional members to the group, and i consider it a privilege to be the one that gets to capture those changes along the way.

Six examples of film photography upping my photo game.

On a recent family trip, I rediscovered how much shooting on film slows you down, forces you to trust your instincts, and look for the “lines”. I don’t always play by the rules in photography, but these photos are just some examples of how using perspective, the rule of thirds, and some creative timing can all form together into some memorable shots that I absolutely cherish.

Last week I had the absolute pleasure of being the event photographer at the Forum for Environmental Education Leadership held at the Canadian Museum of Nature, where I got to meet so many great people, listen to Canadian Astronaut David St. Jacques, and experience the beauty of the otherwise closed (for the day) museum space. Getting my last bits of footage in before they open up the doors at Landscape Ontario Congress 2025 and Booth 100, put together by @bienenstocknaturalplaygrounds @ontarioparksassociation, @hybridlandscape and their partners, is looking absolutely incredible.

If you are attending Congress this year this booth is an absolute must attend! Every person I have interacted with called it an oasis, and it truly is!

See you tomorrow!
